We'd never been to La Foret before and were very impressed with the beautiful, quiet, rural setting. The menu was exquisite and unusual; the food cooked to perfection. The wine parings were just right and the wine delicious to say the least. Everything was so lovely I couldn't pick a favorite dish.

My husband and I enjoyed our first ever wine dinner at La Foret! We truly love this restaurant and add in a wine dinner and it doesn't get better than that! So, we sat at a table for 4 and somehow the couple already sitting there didn't want anyone at their table, so they complained about not wanting to have to entertain...and the truly patient maitre d' Chris accommodated them with a table for 2 in the middle of the dining room. No worries we enjoyed the wine, food and amazingly attentive staff. Can't wait to go back!

We had a 70 year anniversary celebration with a party of 28. The appetizers and main meal selections were outstanding. We provided a wedding cake which they cut and served. The staff was responsive and timely in all our needs. They made sure this was a successful event. Thank you! Five Stars!

Love, love the Alamitos Winery special dinner with elk, boar and bison ribeye!! The elk melted in your mouth. Love the new interior design, very comfy and old French charm.

The wine tasting dinner was exceptional. The food was, as always, outstanding. Each dish was great. What elevated the experience was the impeccable wine pairing for every course. Each selection complemented the dish perfectly. Adding to the magic of the evening, the vintner took a few minutes before each course to share insights into why that particular wine was chosen. These explanations were both informative and engaging, deepening our appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every bottle. The owners of Alamitos Vineyards, along with the vintner, enriched the night with stories and anecdotes about the wines and the winery itself. Their passion and knowledge shone through, making the event feel personal and inviting. It was a memorable evening filled with great food, exceptional wines, and wonderful company.

We have been going to La Foret since 1979 and go there at least twice per year. We celebrate special occasions like our birthdays and anniversary at La Foret every year. We always start with the Hors D'oeurves, Prawns Meunire. My wife normally has Tounedos of Beef. I choose to walk on the wild side and recommend the Elk, Bison, Venison. The Veal and Rack of Lamb are both outstanding. In all the years of eating and celebrating at La Foret we have never been disappointed. Thank you Sami for making every occasion so special and we look forward to seeing you on December 27 for my wife's birthday and our 64th anniversary!
